Being a sustainable, eco-conscious small business that also uses paper products can be quite the challenge. Whilst I make sure that I use only FSC approved paper products, I wanted to do something more to positively impact the environment and give back to the eco system that I had borrowed from to make my products.
In February 2022 I joined Greenspark, to become and Earth Positive Business.
Greenspark are a community based platform that was created to tackle the greatest environmental challenges facing the world today and that gives us the tools to take action. Greenspark was founded on the belief that “business as normal” simply won’t cut it anymore and have enabled people and businesses (big and small) to create automated positive impacts and to take environmental action every day.

Greenspark was founded on the belief that “business as normal” simply won’t cut it anymore and have enabled people and businesses (big and small) to create automated positive impacts and to take environmental action every day.
So where does this leave us? Well since joining in February this year we have donated the following;
We have planted 121 trees, which is equivalent to 484m squared of forest area planted, or 0.068 of a football pitch planted or 1.113 potential CO2 sequestered per year.
We have also rescued thirteen 1 litre plastic bottles from the oceans, which is equivalent to 520 straws worth of plastic removed from landfill, or 65 disposable coffee cups worth of plastic removed from landfill, or 0.025 of plastic bottles rescued from the sea.
And finally we have offset 0.02 tonnes of CO2, which may not seem like much but it's the same as 49.62 miles driven in a car, or 0.021 round trip flights from London to Los Angeles worth of carbon saves or 0.016 years worth of carbon saved from plant based living.
I cannot believe that my small business is making such a difference and it's all thanks to you! As of today we are upping our game and donating the following;
* For every new purchase through our website we plant a tree
* For every new mail subscriber, we rescue a plastic bottle
* For every new order over £35 we plant a tree, rescue a bottle and offset 1kg of CO2 emissions.
